My review of Carolin Soldo and her company
This review of Carolin Soldo and her team will show you why it is vital to have a coach in your corner.
I first discovered Carolin Soldo through her facebook ads, now at this time I had seen lots of similar ads but hers jumped out at me because she looked like the coach I would hire – Smart, professional, strong and knowledgable with big goals and an unstoppable attitude. I was consumed by her content and the value she was giving via her webinar, emails and her amazing youtube channel which you can check out here https://www.youtube.com/carolinsoldo if your a coach or a salon owner I am sure there will be amazing value for you in these videos. But what I also loved was that Carolin shared a recorded 3 hour section of her signature annual coaching event Passion to Profit Live via email. She hosts these events annually in luxury venues from Las Vegas, Hollywood and many more with her team and an amazing line up of guest speakers providing amazing value and impacting coaches all around the world. This is the coaching event of the year in the industry and watching her and her team present in this 3 hour window was so powerful I knew I had to work with her. I mean if she offers all this knowledge for free imagine what your going to get working with her!!
Secondly after reading Carolin’s story I found so many similarities between us so I want to share Carolin’s story with you.
FROM POOR IMMIGRANT…TO SELF-MADE MILLIONAIRE…TO MENTOR FOR COACHES
In 2001, Carolin immigrated to the USA from Germany with just a few hundred dollars in her pocket, a suitcase, and big dreams. As a childhood abuse survivor, she learned how to turn her biggest struggles into her biggest strengths. She came to the US to be with the love of her life, Boris. A few years later they got married and Carolin earned her MBA in Marketing. She also launched into a high powered Marketing Career.
Together, Boris and Carolin founded their multi-million dollar Manufacturing Company, Solmac Inc in 2006. Shortly thereafter, their 2 sons were born.
That’s when Carolin’s life began to crumble under the many demands of motherhood, business, and career.
After the birth of her 2nd son, she didn’t feel like a woman anymore and just wanted to have herself back again. As with everything else in her life, she knew she had to do this all or nothing, so she hired a coach and began to create her healthy lifestyle.
She lost 75 pounds with the help of her coach and discovered the world of Health Coaching. That’s when she realized she had built up enough knowledge to start helping people who wanted to change their lives, too.
THROUGH HER OWN HEALTH TRANSFORMATION, CAROLIN DISCOVERED THE WORLD OF ONLINE COACHING AND INSTANTLY SAW AN OPPORTUNITY TO CHANGE HER CAREER FOREVER.
Carolin grew her Health Coaching business very quickly. People started taking notice. In 2015, Carolin closed her Health Coaching Business and returned to her roots of Business and Marketing.
Today she runs an international Coaching Business with over 14 Team Members and hundreds of clients from all over the world. Her offerings expanded into 2 flagship programs, seminars, events, and mentoring.
She reached her goal to become a millionaire by age 36, and since then has devoted her entire venture to help other coaches take their business to scale.
So I think you can agree with me Carolin is a true force to be reckoned with. Most entrepreneurs like Tony Robbins, Oprah Winfrey and so many more have been through struggle and great difficulty because to be an entrepreneur I think you need to experience difficulty to really have the stamina to make it in business. And some areas of personal development take time growing a thick skin and being brave, confident and bold come with experience and time but working with a mentor to identify those blocks quickly and work through them you will be where you want to be at lightening speed and most importantly not alone! Just like Tony Robbins, Oprah Winfrey, Russell Brunson, Denise Duffield and so many more industry legends when you read their story what you will notice is that they all mention their mentors/business coaches and people they worked with to help them get to where they are and where they wanted to be. Trust me no one who is awesome and smashing their goals is doing it alone.
So not long after discovering carolin I booked a call with her team and embarked on my journey into her signature “Brand your Passions” programme. When you have big business goals it is not possible to achieve them by yourself and maybe if you are achieving them is the goal big enough? Are you stretching yourself and reaching your true potential? How long is it taking you to get there? The truth is if we knew how to get to where we want to be we would be there already, we wouldn’t be looking for answers? And when you read about all the big gurus out there they all had/have/value mentors more than anything. If you want something you learn from someone who has done it. Why spend years guessing your way through and wasting and money you don’t have hoping you will get it right? What kind of business strategy is that right? And in my industry in hair & beauty no one ever taught you how to run a business, so its vital for you not to do it alone and invest in the help and support in the areas you need. If your not great with the numbers get some help, if your not great with strategy get some help. Figure out your strengths and hire out or get help with your weaker areas. We are not expected to know everything and it takes strength to recognise that.
Let me share my story with with you…..
I began my career as a hairdresser working for an independently owned salon chain. They were a well oiled machine. Turning over a profit anyone would be proud of.
Winning and being nominated for just about every award and accolade there is in our industry and the day to day operations went off without a hitch 99% of the time even whilst the bosses were away regularly on vacation or working on other projects.
This is when I fell in love with business. During that time, I truly realized how to run such a slick operation, which even saw me winning trips to Las Vegas, teaching for worldwide brands such as Schwarzkopf, and finding a love for teaching which eventually grew into coaching. After a few years I decided to take a big jump to pursue my love of teaching even further.
So I stepped back from the big salon and decided to work towards my teaching qualifications.
Meantime, I worked in a small salon, I thought this would give me the time and space I needed to work on completing my qualifications.
But oh how wrong I was
It was a total nightmare!!!
I went from well oiled machine to complete chaos
I even moved to a couple of different salons and again total chaos!!
I though a smaller salon but would easier
But it was hell
To start with there was no consistency meaning all the staff just did their own thing following their own made up processes, this had a knock on effect to client experience and reflected in the client retention and common complaints. Trying to manage the staff was a full time and exhausting task as they became accustomed to following their own rules and even their own work hours it was impossible to build consistency and momentum to drive the business forward. But the biggest problem was the culture without a strong leadership or standards in place and no culture everything is an uphill struggle.
As soon as I completed the qualifications I needed, I began to teach hair/beauty and business admin apprentices. Quickly I was promoted and responsible for a large private training provider.
I thought I was back in corporate world and back to a well oiled machine
I was half right – if you have ever worked in education you will be able to relate. But I did achieve the company getting ofsted outstanding and Beacon status.
During my time in education my passion was still for the salons and I still worked most weekends in the salons I loved the environment the buzz everything about it and it was all I had ever known since I was 12!l So the contrast between the types of salons I had worked for was always playing on my mind.
I began obsessively looking into what was the difference between the well oiled machine and utter chaos!!
What made some profitable?
What made some so slick and streamlined?
What made them successful?
And what made some have to close the doors?
I knew it wasn’t the size of the salon or how long it had been open or even the prices or location it wasn’t any of that because some of the salons that were successful were big, small, on high streets, in remote areas they were all unique in their own way. Some had been open for 6 months and had made 10 times the progress than some which had been open for 20 years! And sadly some just continued to believe more marketing or advertising would solve all their problems but this just incurred large costs for not much return. I meet a lot of salon owners who believe if they just get more clients they will be ok but its just not true attracting clients, keeping them & turning them into loyal long term fans is a whole different ball game.
And I am happy to report that what I have been teaching my clients for the past 5 years has been having amazing results.
I would love nothing more than to get you those exact same results, I want you to not only increase your turnover, make more money but to really start to enjoy your business as a whole as a source of the lifestyle you really want to live.
